A Message from your Conference Co-Chairs

As you may already know, the ICAA Summer Conference will not be held in person this July as originally scheduled. Instead, ICAA looks forward to presenting a series of virtual educational programming and networking opportunities in July and August for ICAA members.

Your Summer Conference Committee has pivoted nimbly to make these changes, and your Summer Conference Co-Chairs Kyle Vaughn and Nicole Neely have this message to share with you.

Conference is such an important part of ICAA’s mission, culture, and values. While nothing compares to sharing and networking in person, we are excited about the plans currently in the works to deliver value to our members. Stay tuned for details and registration for the July and August sessions.

Helpful Resources – Please Share with Us!

The ICAA Articles page continues to feature a variety of articles and webinar links on a range of advancement topics. Many of the experts who authored these articles have been featured as ICAA speakers at past workshops and conferences.

Have you read an especially helpful article recently, or know of an upcoming webinar you think would be a good resource to ICAA members? Email ICAA Secretary Lisa Judge at ljudge@bw.edu with your suggestion and we will add to the Articles page.

If you haven’t already, join the Independent College Advancement Associates LinkedIn group and invite your colleagues.

Remembering Howard Strauch

We honor one of ICAA’s founding members, Howard Strauch, who passed away in April. Strauch was director of development for The College of Wooster when he joined six other advancement professionals in 1958 to begin building what would become ICAA two years later. His full obituary is available here.

Share ideas on the ICAA LinkedIn

In these uneasy times, make the Independent College Advancement Associates LinkedIn group your destination to share and compare ideas. Start a topic or respond to an established topic, all within the company of colleagues at other small, independent institutions in the region. We look forward to your input and approving your request to join the group if you are not already a member.
